After-School Theater Program Partnerships

 

S.T.A.R. (Stand Tall And Rise) Performing Arts Leadership After-School Program is a 7-month enrichment program designed to build character, enhance self-esteem and develop strong leadership skills in youth in grades K-12. The program offers artistic and interactive leadership workshops, artistic training, tutorial support, group mentoring, college and career exploration, etiquette seminars, and community service. S.T.A.R. aims to work with youth at an early age to help get them ready for middle school and beyond.

 

The program meets bi-weekly September- April and covers topics such as:

 

• Confidence, Respect & Self-esteem

• Leadership

• Public Speaking

• Conflict Resolution

• Goal Setting

• Financial Literacy

• Career Explorations

S.T.A.R. Entertainment L.L.C helps youth build up a feeling of character, autonomy, control, and self-esteem. Our mission is to identify such children and expose them to a positive atmosphere in which they can learn, grow, and ultimately reach their potential through the performing arts.

• “I did that” Boss Brunch (Confidence and self-esteem)

• “On to the next”  Performing Arts College Tour (College and career ready)

• “High Fashion”  Career Fashion show (College and career ready)

• “Welcome to Hollywood”” Drama, Dance, Voice, Production Master classes

• “BONDfire” Camping Trip  (Confidence and self-esteem)

• “If I ruled the world” Leadership seminars (Enhancement of confidence and self‐esteem.)

• “Empire State of Mind” 1- day trip to New York to see a Broadway show and take a “acting for TV” master class (High exposure to diverse opportunities)

• “Certified Boss” Graduation award banquet

Summer Partnerships

​

Summer Acting & Directing workshops- are 3-4 week intensive camps and are  designated to provide professional training to young actors in grades K-12 the opportunity to build confidence, enhance acting abilities, character, self-esteem, public speaking skills, leadership and teamwork.

 

Our workshops are medium paced and designed with the interest of every student in mind and have all new activities each week including: 

• Script Analysis

• Improvisation

• Speaking Skills

• Creative Movements and Engagement

• Directing Opportunities

• Theater Games

• End of summer performance
